The AAP has created state fact sheets highlighting how Medicaid, the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) and Affordable Care Act (ACA) protections work to support and improve children’s health. These documents can serve as educational tools to support adequate for Medicaid in Georgia:

  • Georgia Medicaid Fact Sheet 2025: Explains the importance of Medicaid for children in our state.  This fact sheet was created in partnership with the Georgetown University Policy Institute Center for Children and Families.
  • Georgia EPSDT State Profile: Provides detailed information on how our Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis and Treatment (EPSDT) – Health Check Services aligns with the AAP/Bright Futures guidelines as recommended by the Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB), Health Resources and Services Administration.
